More than a hundred senior citizens in California have broken two world records by participating in a group skydiving event. Skydivers Over Sixty, the group of skydivers, successfully created formations mid-air, including a snowflake formation on their fourth attempt. The event was organised by Skydive Perris, a Southern California skydiving facility, which posted pictures of the occasion on Instagram.

The group's first achievement was a 1-point 101-way on Saturday, 15th April 2023, beating the previous record of a 75-way at Chicago in 2018. The group then attempted a 2-point 95-way on the following day, breaking the last record of a 60-way at Perris in 2017.

Skydive Perris expressed their gratitude for the participants in their Instagram post, stating, "Thank you everyone for helping make this dream a reality! You were all so amazing."

Skydiving is an extreme sport that requires courage and a willingness to take risks. However, it is not just for the young, as the Skydivers Over Sixty group has demonstrated. The event proves that age is just a number, and senior citizens can still accomplish great feats and break records.

Skydiving can also have health benefits for seniors, as it promotes physical activity and mental alertness. In addition, it provides a sense of accomplishment and a rush of adrenaline that can boost one's mood and self-esteem.

The Skydivers Over Sixty event is an inspiration to everyone, regardless of age, to push beyond their limits and achieve greatness. As one of the participants, 72-year-old Patricia Brown, said, "You're never too old to do something that you want to do."
