Xiaomi to come up with three 18:9 display mid-range Redmi phones

These phones will differ in screen sizes. According to Gizmo China, one of the phones will have a 5.5inches HD+ display, presumably in Redmi 5. The other two will have a larger FHD+ display of 5.9 inches

Following the bandwagon, Xiaomi will soon come up with 'full-screen' Redmi phones with an 18:9 display ratio. The three phones which are touted to have 'full screen' display are the Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, and the Redmi Note 5.

These phones will differ in screen sizes. According to Gizmo China, one of the phones will have a 5.5-inch HD+ display, presumably in Redmi 5. The other two will have a larger FHD+ display of 5.9 inches.

The phones will also differ in internal configuration. The Redmi 5 will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the Plus variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The price of the phone is expected to be around Rs 11,000.

The Redmi 5 is touted to be powered by a Helio p25 SoC. It is expected that a Snapdragon variant of the phone will also be made available. Few other variants with different RAM sizes and storage capabilities will also be in the market.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 5 will pack the new Snapdragon 636 SoC. It will, most likely, feature 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. The phone is expected to cost around Rs 15,600.

The phones are scheduled to come by the end of the year as per several leaked reports. As of now, the only confirmed 'full screen' phones from Xiaomi are the Redmi MEE7 and Redmi MET7.
