Just a couple of weeks after the launch of the Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil yet another Redmi smartphone in India. The upcoming Redmi phone is arriving on August 4 and will likely go on sale during Amazon Prime Day.
While the name of the phone has not been confirmed, it would seem that Xiaomi is looking to bring back the Redmi Prime series. The upcoming phone will be called the ‘Redmi 9 Prime’.

The page suggests that the phone will offer ‘Prime Time’ camera, gaming, entertainment, battery, design, and quality. This suggests that the Redmi 9 Prime will feature a powerful chipset, large display, premium build quality, and a massive battery for its price. The phone will likely get a quad-camera setup on the back.
The Amazon listing also suggests that the phone will feature a headphone jack and speaker grille on the bottom. Other rumours suggest that the phone might be a rebranded Redmi 9, which was already announced in Europe earlier in June. The last time we saw a Redmi Prime phone was five years ago, in the form of the Redmi 4 Prime.
