Might be the cheapest 5G phone yet!
Realme just add a new smartphone to its list of 5G product portfolio in China. The Realme V5 arrives as one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, 5G smartphone. The smartphone is priced at CNY 1,499 (Roughly Rs 16,100) for the base 6GB/128GB variant. Additionally, the 8GB/128GB Realme V5 model is priced at CNY 1,899 (Roughly Rs 20,400).
Realme V5 Specs
The Realme V5 is powered by the budget 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset. MediaTek’s new budget 5G chip boasts two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 units, all running at 2.0 GHz. The chipset can be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Additionally, there is a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Realme V5 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel features a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen features a punch-hole camera cutout on the top left corner that houses a 16 MP selfie shooter. On the back, the Realme V5 opts for a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP, f/1.8 primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, a 2 MP macro camera, and 2 MP monochrome sensor.
Additionally, the phone’s power button doubles as a fingerprint reader. The Realme V5 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support through USB-C. Realme claims that the charger can top up the phone to 100-percent in just 65 minutes. The Realme V5 is also certified by Dolby Atmos for its sound and offers Hi-Res Audio.Realme claims that the V-lineup will offer trendsetting design. The phone is available in three colours, including Blue, Green, and Silver. The Blue and Green models feature a matte plus glossy finish on the back, while the Silver variant features the “Realme” logo on the side.
