Made in India: Kawasaki's Versys-X 300 is ready to hit the road - take a look

It will be the fifth model to be made in India from an assembly plant based in Chakan, Pune.

Auto giant Kawasaki launched Versys X-300 at Rs 4.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai, Delhi) in India making it the third most affordable product from the Japanese stable in the country.

 The newly launched model belongs to the family of adventure touring motorcycles of Kawasaki. The Versys-X 300, built on any-road any-time performance model, is powered by a 296cc, twin cylinder engine, and peaks power at 40ps.

The booking for Versys-X 300 is open from all of the 22 showrooms with deliveries starting immediately, however, though it is made in India the Versys X-300 does not come cheap compared to rivals.

The X-300 will compete against Royal Enfield Himalayan, Bajaj Dominar, BMW 310 GS and Yamaha Fazer 25 owing to its versatility stemming from long travel suspension, wide reach bars and a low seat aid the maneuverability of the twin cylinder machine.
