The mid-range smartphone market is beginning to see a lot of traction in 2020, with Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, and several others are introducing new handsets that focus on value. However, Google is still holding out on revealing its mid-range Pixel.
Earlier this month, it seemed like the launch of the new Pixel 4a seemed just around the corner, but as we edge closer to the end of the month, there are no signs of a new Pixel smartphone. Now, a tipster on Twitter has suggested that the phone could be arriving on August 3, which is just a week away.
Prosser’s tweet suggests that the Pixel 4a will ‘100 percent’ launch on August 3. While Google is yet to confirm the launch or details surrounding the Pixel 4a, the image of the device was leaked online, as per previous reports.
Google Pixel 4a Expected Specs
The phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 730G SoC, which does seem a little dated considering the arrival of new Snapdragon 700 series chips. However, it is a big upgrade over the Pixel 3a. The Pixel 4a will likely sport a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera cutout and slimmer bezels.
The Google Pixel 4a will have a 3,140 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Google Pixel 4a is expected to have the same camera bump as the Pixel 4, but will only get a single 12.2 MP camera.
