India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Motocorp, is set to make its products costlier from the first day of 2020. The bikemaker will hike the ex-showroom prices of all its models, with the largest increment being of Rs 2,000.

The company already entered the BSVI bandwagon when it launched the Splendor iSmart last month. Since the emission norms will be implemented from April 1, 2020, the company is gearing up to make its entire lineup BSVI-compliant.

As per Hero Motocorp’s official press release, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, will make an upward revision in the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles and scooters, effective January 1, 2020. The price increase across its range of two-wheelers will be up to Rs. 2,000, although the exact quantum of the increase will vary on the basis of the model and the specific market.

Currently, the company has over 20 models across various segments on offer in the Indian market. These include motorcycles such as the XPulse 200, Xtreme 200S and the Super Splendor IBS, to scooters such as the Maestro Edge and the Pleasure. It plans to equip its entire lineup with BSVI-compliant engines before the deadline of April 1, 2020.
