The TRK 502 and 502X are mid-range ADV bikes designed to do comfortable highway cruising and some light offroading with relative ease
Benelli India has just relaunched the TNT 300, 302R and and TNT 600i and now, according to a report by Overdrive, the company is planning to finally launch the TRK 502 and TRK 502X for the Indian market in the first quarter of 2019.
The TRK 502 and 502X are mid-range ADV bikes designed to do comfortable highway cruising and some light offroading with relative ease. While the TRK 502 is more tarmac friendly, the 502X is more biased towards offroad use.
Both bikes come powered by the same 499cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 47.6 PS of power and 45 Nm of peak torque. Power is delivered to the rear via a 6-speed gearbox. Braking is taken care of by 320 mm dual discs in the front and a 260 mm rear disc with ABS as standard. Unfortunately, both bikes do not get any other kind of riding aides like riding modes, cruise control or traction control.
Now while both bikes are designed around the same chassis, the 502X gets a higher seat height at 850 mm along with higher ground clearance at 220 mm. The 502 uses 17-inch rims at the front and rear with Pirelli Angel GT tyres, while the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear rims on the 502X are wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres. The offroad variant also gets a bash plate as standard along with an upswept side mounted exhaust.
