Ola commuters will now have easy access to a vast array of LIVE TV options across categories such as news, music, and general entertainment through YuppTV on Ola Play, a release said.

With this fresh funding, the OTT platform plans to expand its content library through original productions and acquisitions.
"Emerald Media, a pan-Asian platform established by leading global investment firm KKR for investing in the media and entertainment sector, has acquired a significant minority stake in YuppTV for USD 50 million," it said in a release.
"The association will introduce a range of popular and trending web-series, social experiments, reality shows and documentaries, as well as non-fiction products from the Arre stable on YuppTV Bazaar," the firm said in a statement.
The partnership takes the number of channels on YuppTV's platform to 16, adding to its current repository of over 200 Indian TV channels in 13 languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya, Gujarati, Sinhala, Urdu and Bangla.
Sun Network channels like Surya and Kiran (Malayalam), Sun TV, KTV, Sun Music, Adithya TV (Tamil), Gemini TV, Gemini Movies and Gemini Comedy (Telugu) and Udaya TV (Kannada) will be made available for YuppTV's MENA viewers.
The company is a leading over-the-top (OTT) provider for Indian content, and has entered the market with over 200 channels in 12 languages.
