    • Telangana SLBC Tunnel Collapse: Several feared trapped | PM Modi dials CM Revanth Reddy

      A section of roof of Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Telangana’s Nagarkurnool district. The collapse occurred just four days after construction work had resumed following a long hiatus. In a tragic accident, a three-meter section of an under-construction stretch of the tunnel collapsed on Feb 22. While some workers managed to escape, eight labourers are feared to be trapped inside. Authorities including NDRF mobilized the Task Force and began rescue operations. The Task Force of the Indian Army has also been mobilised to assist the ongoing operations. Earlier today, PM Modi spoke to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy regarding rescue efforts

      Three frontline warships, maritime patrol aircraft and helicopters were part of Indian Navy's rescue operations, to find and save the crew members of the two vessels working for ONGC.
