Students claimed as many as 50 students are on hunger strike in the faculty. The students began the hunger strike on Saturday demanding postponement of their examination while contending that their syllabus has not been completed.
DU’s Examination Branch on June 29 issued a notification entailing the procedure that needs to be followed to conduct internal assessments, practicals, viva voce, projects, oral examinations, apprenticeships, internships and fieldwork.
The CBSE on Wednesday cancelled class 10 board exams and postponed class 12 exams following surge in coronavirus cases. While the situation will be reviewed in June for conduct of class 12 examinations, the result for class 10 will be declared on basis of an objective criteria decided by the board.
"I have also discussed the issue of how much curriculum can be omitted so that teachers can complete the remaining part. We will have to cut at least 25 percent of the curriculum,” Varsha Gaikwad added.
A total of 1.6 lakh candidates had registered for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced after qualifying the JEE-Main.
The petitioners, however, argued through their counsel Sharon Patole that the University had announced the exam schedule in haste.
NEET 2020 result date is still not officially declared but once released students can check their NEET result on the NTA website ntaneet.nic.in.
The Bihar B.Ed CET 2020 examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 22.
“The state government has made arrangements for free transportation and lodging facilities for candidates and their guardians,” NEET state nodal officer Polly Patnaik said.
