The new Dominar 400 comes with a liquid cooled 373.3cc engine that delivers significantly higher 40 PS power, up from 35 PS in the previous generation, the company said in a statement.
Rajiv Bajaj promised ‘lots more action’ in the above Rs 1 lakh segment, which is where the consumer excitement has shifted in the last one year.
The Dominar 400, powered by a 373cc engine will be available with ABS and disc brake versions which are priced at Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.36 lakh, respectively.
It is going to be a big day for Bajaj Auto Thursday as the company launches its much-awaited 400cc bike – Dominar 400. The new entrant will be a direct competitor to Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield, which currently has nearly has 85 percent market share in the over-400cc segment.
Dominar is derived from a Spanish word, which means to excel or exceed in power. It would be launched on December 15, the company said in a statement.
