Taking note of missing information about projects, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) has directed promoters to provide accurate details regarding the registration and information of real estate projects, along with functional contact numbers for communication with promoters, as noted by the Authority.
The Authority has instructed builders to ensure uninterrupted correspondence among promoters, the regulator, and buyers, and to update all necessary details on the Authority's portal. UPRERA has stated that the objective of this initiative is to promote transparency, responsibility, and credibility among the stakeholders in the sector, in accordance with the provisions of the RERA Act 2016.

According to the issued directions, developers will have to provide details of a director, approved by the board resolution, for communication in already registered projects and projects proposed for registration both.
The move comes after the regulatory authority found that various information is either missing or different from the actual approved document on the portal. Promoters have also been directed to dispose of the mistakes, the Authority said.
“Many times, it has been noticed that given contact numbers are either not functional or the person attending calls is not knowledgeable enough to provide a substantial response. All promoters have been directed to ensure that the contact numbers being provided are active and answered by knowledgeable persons,” the Authority said.
