Another setback for Congress in Delhi, former MLAs Naseeb Singh and Neeraj Basoya resign

The two resignations from the party come close on the heels of veteran Congress leader Arvind Singh Lovely resigning as Delhi unit chief, over strong differences with the Central leadership.

In another setback for the Congress in Delhi, two of its leaders and observers for two Lok Sabha seats in the national capital, Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh have resigned from the party.

Their resignation comes days after Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely quit from the position of Party President.

The  development comes less than a month before Delhi goes to polls. Delhi goes to Lok Sabha polls on May 25.

Writing to All India Congress Committee's president - Mallikarjun Kharge - the former MLAs have cited the appointment of the New Delhi Chief and Congress' alliance with Aam Aadmi Party of the main reasons as their resignation.
