Lok Sabha election dates 2024: Voting in third phase to be held on May 7 across 12 states

In 2019, the Lok Sabha poll were announced on March 10 and held in seven phases beginning April 11 and the votes were counted on May 23.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be conducted in seven phases as per the announcement made by the Election Commission of India. The third phase of polls will be held on May 7 and results will be declared on June 4.

A total of 12 states/ Union Territories will be going to polls in the third phase.  In the third phase a total of 94 parliamentary constituencies will be going to the polls.

Congress and BJP are the front-runners of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections while other political parties are also all geared-up for the big election battle.

The announcement was made by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. New Commissioners Gyanendra Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, who assumed office on Friday.
