He was welcomed at the Elysee Palace in Paris by the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte. The French foreign, defence and finance ministers also attended the discussions that focused on the Ukrainian crisis and the challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. (Image: AP)
Prime Minister Modi will be among the first few world leaders to meet President Macron after his re-election last week. The meeting between the two leaders will set a more ambitious agenda for the strategic partnership, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet.
