Egyptian authorities said three British nationals were missing after a scuba diving boat they were cruising in caught fire off Egypt's Red Sea coastline on Sunday. In a short statement, Egypt's Red Sea Governate said 12 crew members and 12 British tourists were rescued when a medium-sized scuba diving boat, christened Hurricane,went up in flames off the southern Red Sea resort town of Marsa Alam. A search party was launched to find the remaining three British tourists whose identities were not revealed.

A fire broke out in a plywood factory in west Delhi's Kirti Nagar on Sunday, officials said. The Delhi Fire Service officials said there was no report of injuries to anybody. According to the fire department, a call about the blaze was received around 6 pm and more than 20 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.A makeshift temporary workplace made of tin sheds situated on the terrace of the factory caught fire and the raw materials stored there for making plywood were damaged in the incident, a senior fire officer said.

At an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rally at Ramlila Maidan here on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal narrated what he called a story of "chauthi pass raja". He said it was a tale from a great country, where a child was born into an impoverished household in a small village and it was predicted by an astrologer that he will go on to become a king. "The child's mother didn't believe the astrologer since she felt how could this be possible given her poor conditions. But the astrologer assured her that her son's stars showed that he was destined to become a king," Kejriwal said, without taking any name.
The national capital on Sunday witnessed a partly cloudy sky as the maximum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 38.5 degrees Celsius, an official said. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the city is likely to experience similar weather on Monday.There will be strong surface winds during the daytime and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 40 and 26 degrees Celsius, an IMD official said. The day's minimum temperature settled at 25.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average temperature, the IMD said.
The government is likely to invite financial bids for the privatisation of Shipping Corporation of India after listing its non-core asset business SCILAL on the stock exchanges this month, an official said. The government has hived off the non-core assets of SCI in a separate company -- Shipping Corporation of India Land And Assets Ltd (SCILAL) -- valued at Rs 2,392 crore as of March 31, 2022.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday tore into the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh, saying it did only corruption and slammed it over the alleged farmer suicides in the state. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday said the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) near Gujarat's Rajkot city is likely to be fully ready by October, as 65 per cent of the work has been completed so far. Mandaviya visited the AIIMS here during the day to take stock of the progress of the project. The out-patient department (OPD) of the hospital is already functional, while a 150-bed indoor hospital will be commissioned in August and 250-bed facility in September, he said.
