Will India ever own an A380?
Mar 29, 05:03

Airbus A380 is one of the most important planes in aviation history, not only for being the world's biggest passenger plane but also for being an aircraft to fly on aviation fuel derived from cooking oil. However, no Indian carrier has ever owned an Airbus A380, and given that Airbus has stopped manufacturing the A380, it is unlikely that an Indian airline will get its hands on a brand-new superjumbo. However, Singapore Airlines and Emirates operate the plane on the Mumbai-Singapore and Dubai-Bengaluru air routes, respectively. Indian airlines have also been in touch with foreign carriers to wet-lease the superjumbo especially to operate on ultra-long-haul routes like Delhi-San Francisco.
