The auto sweep facility is a way to interlink a customer's savings/current account with that of fixed deposits (FD). When there is a shortage of funds in a person's savings account, the auto sweep facility will automatically transfer the deficit from your FD and vice versa. The facility is also used to park funds in FDs where one gets higher returns than savings or current account.
