At the Rome Declaration of the G20 Summit, world leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to increase the supply of vaccines to developing countries emphasising vaccine' role as the most important tool against the Covid-19 pandemic. The G20 leaders also set a global goal to vaccinate at least 40 percent of the world population by 2021 and 70 percent by mid-2022. They also thanked medical and frontline workers, international organisations and scientists for their constant effort to fight the deadly pandemic. They also committed to strengthen actions to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030, and achieve food security and adequate nutrition for all.
