Minutes after MS Dhoni announced retirement from international cricket, teammate Suresh Raina followed the suit.
Congratulating the former India captain on Instagram, Raina formally announced retirement from the game.
"With my heart full of pride, I wish to join you in this journey," Raina said in the post.
The 33-year-old is among the few cricketers who have scored centuries across formats. The left-hander represented the country in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20 Internationals and scored nearly 8,000 international runs.
His best moment was a crucial unbeaten knock in a tricky World Cup quarter-final against Australia during the triumphant 2011 campaign.
