See a dirty toilet on highway? Click, report and earn Rs 1,000 FASTag credit

- Once verified, Rs 1,000 will be credited to the FASTag account linked to the reported VRN.

- The reward is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed in cash.

- The initiative will continue till October 31, 2025 on all National Highways across the country. Each VRN can claim the reward only once during the period.

What are the terms & conditions?

- The scheme applies only to toilets that are constructed, operated, or maintained under NHAI jurisdiction. Facilities at dhabas, petrol pumps, or other public units not managed by NHAI are excluded.

- Each VRN can claim the reward only once during the entire campaign period.

- Each toilet facility is eligible for a reward once per day. If multiple reports for the same toilet arrive on the same day, only the first valid one is considered.

- Photos must be clear, geo-tagged, time-stamped, and taken via the app. Manipulated, duplicate, or previously submitted images will be rejected.

- The entries will be screened using AI and, where needed, manual verification.

- The drive covers all national highways across India, but only for toilets under NHAI’s oversight.

NHAI's larger cleanliness mission

The NHAI's cleanliness initiative forms a key component of the Special Campaign 5.0, which focusses on enhancing hygiene, transparency, and efficiency in governance. The campaign also includes efforts to repair potholes, beautify flyovers and toll plazas, and improve overall road user experience, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway said.
