Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the country through the 78th edition of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat at 11 am on June 27. The show will be live-streamed on PMO and PM Modi’s official YouTube channel.
"Tune in at 11 AM tomorrow. #MannKiBaat," Modi tweeted on June 26. The edition comes almost a week after India began the next phase of the coronavirus vaccination drive and amid concerns about a possible third wave.
May's Mann ki Baat had coincided with the seventh anniversary of the Modi government. "During the second wave of COVID-19, a major challenge was to supply medical oxygen to remote areas. To counter challenges that the country faced, drivers of Cryogenic oxygen tankers helped by working on war footing and saved lives of lakhs of people,” PM Modi had said.
A devastating second wave pushed India's medical infrastructure to the brink with daily cases even crossing 4 lakh at the peak. The cases have since come down but there are worries about the delta variant of the virus that is said to be highly infectious.
BJP units across the country hold multiple programmes at different levels to hear Mann ki Baat. Apart from these events, now on all the office-bearers of the Kisan Morcha would spread out in the villages and hear the PM speak in the company of farmers, BJP Kisan Morcha president Raj Kumar Chahar told news agency IANS.
