In the letter, PM Modi has praised citizens of this country for displaying tremendous grit in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak.

2014 In 2014, his first birthday as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited Gandhinagar to seek blessings from his mother Heeraben. Reports said Modi travelled alone in a normal vehicle from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar on his 64rth birthday. His mother donated Rs 5,000 for the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion. Later in the day, Modi hosted a special dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping in Ahmedabad.

The Narendra Modi-led government marks the first anniversary of its second term today and the Prime Minister has written a letter to highlight the achievements of his government. He also reiterated the country's resolve in combating the COVID-19 outbreak.

This day last year began a golden chapter in the history of Indian democracy. It was after several decades that the people of the country voted back a full term government with a full majority.
