Madhya Pradesh election date for Lok Sabha polls 2019: 4-phase voting from April 29 to May 19

The Election Commission of India (EC) on March 10 announced the full schedule of phase-wise and constituency-wise voting for Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls that begin on April 11.

In the high-stakes battle, candidates from major political parties including the BJP and the Congress in Madhya Pradesh will be contesting for 29 seats/constituencies beginning April 29.

The poll panel also announced the Assembly election schedule for four states. Polling for the Assembly elections in four states — Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim — will happen simultaneously with Lok Sabha polls.

Polling for the general elections will be held in seven phases starting April 11 and will conclude on May 19. Counting of votes will happen on May 23.

Six (6) constituencies go to polls in the first phase on April 29 which includes Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara.

Seven (7) constituencies vote in the second phase on May 6 which includes Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad and Vidisha.

Eight (8) constituencies vote in the third phase on May 12 which includes Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Dewas.

Eight (8) constituencies vote in the fourth phase on May 19 which includes Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, Khandwa and Betul.
