ASG says: “Many statements were made before the magistrate, they can say ED put pressure. Can they say magistrate put pressure?”

ASG Raju: “IndoSpirits was blacklisted. So the files were moved to get it the license. The firm was granted wholesale license despite allegations of cartelisation. The complainant was forced to take back the complaint.”

ASG SV Raju says: “The existence of a liquor scam, the existence of kick backs is a fact that has been upheld till the Supreme Court. No matter how much you cry but it is clear that there was a scam and government exchequer suffered a loss because of that.”

ASG Raju says: “Large number of people refused bail in this case by lower courts, HC and SC. If a bail is rejected it means that there is a prima facie case of money laundering against that accused.”

ASG Raju says: “The fact that an offence of money laundering has taken place is clear and beyond any doubt.”

ASG Raju says that the case is an academic exercise now as the orders remanding Kejriwal are not under challenge

ASG Raju arguing for ED, said “We are wanting to attach some properties of AAP. If we do that then they will say election ke time pe ye sab kiya. If we don't do that then they will say kahan hain proof? So I am in a bit of a dilemma.”

Tihar jail statement on Arvind Kejriwal's health

Tihar Jail confirms that upon arrival on 01.04.2024, Arvind Kejriwal underwent examination by two doctors, with all vitals reported as normal. His weight remains constant at 65 kg since admission, and home-cooked food is provided as per court order. Kejriwal's vital statistics continue to be normal.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has revoked the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) licenses of five prominent NGOs after due process, citing violations such as the misuse of foreign grants. The affected organizations include CNI Synodical Board of Social Service (CNI-SBSS), Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), Church Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA), and Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFOI). Sources confirmed the action.

Raghav Manguta said, "Because you have a quid pro quo for bail, approvership and ultimately joining the party...its a joke being made of the criminal law and level playing field," which senior attorney Abhishek Singhvi read. Singhvi continued, "The prosecution is saying I'll keep recording statements until you give a statement against Kejriwal."

"These statements are kept in unrelied," he continued. Why shouldn't it be seen by the court? Is it just? What standard of justice are you upholding with ED?

Singhvi claims that only after Magunta and Reddy brought accusations against Kejriwal did they receive bail. He goes on to say that these individuals have not made any statements critical of Kejriwal and that these documents have been labelled as unverified. "This is reprehensible conduct by a prosecutor who claims to be fair," Singhvi said.

"You are clearly doing an arrest without any enquiry, statement, etc." stated senior counsel Abhishek Singhvi. "The absence of Sec. 50 in this case is unusual," the author continued, "and the necessity of arrest is a significant aspect of the statute."

Singhvi continued, "But in this case, you had an ulterior motive for needing to make an arrest."

"The only objective is to humiliate, insult, and disable the petitioner," he continued.

Singhvi questioned the judge, saying, "You've filed several chargesheets. What will the man do with the witnesses and evidence?"

According to Singhvi there would not have been any necessity to arrest if they had sent a questionnaire or permitted him to appear virtually. Singhvi says Kejriwal sent detailed responses to each summon

Singhvi says between the first summon and now about 6 months have passed. 16 Mar. “You are clearly doing an arrest without any inquiry, statement, material which can form the basis of arrest. it is unique that there is nothing under Section 50 at all,” he says.

Delhi court directed AAP leader Sanjay Singh not to tamper with evidence or influence witnesses. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja issued these directives before ordering Singh's release from Tihar central jail, following his bail granted by the Supreme Court. Singh must submit his passport, provide itinerary details before leaving NCR, and keep his phone location on. His wife will be the surety, and Singh will present a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and one surety of the same amount.

Contrary to AAP's claim of Arvind Kejriwal losing weight post-arrest, Tihar Jail sources state his health remains robust. Kejriwal's weight stands at 65 kgs, unchanged since his admission. His sugar levels are stable, with no reported health concerns. Jail authorities ensure continuous monitoring of the CM's well-being.

He called for a ‘community fast’ on April 7 across the country and at Jantar Mantar. “This is an open call to all people, organisations and parties,” Rai said.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders announced plans to stage a fasting dharna at Jantar Mantar on April 7 in protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Gopal Rai, a cabinet minister in the Kejriwal government, called for a nationwide fast against Kejriwal's arrest, inviting individuals to participate from anywhere, be it at home or in their cities.
