The 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) will host the 2nd International Bharat 6G Symposium in partnership with Bharat 6G Alliance on October 9-10 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi.

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India to lead the world in 6G innovation and patent filings, the symposium will bring together over 70 speakers from India and abroad. The discussions will focus on how 6G can drive digital sovereignty, economic growth and global collaboration.

The event will be inaugurated by Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, MoS Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, DoT Secretary Neeraj Mittal, and Principal Scientific Advisor Ajay Sood.

According to the organisers, the symposium will convene global tech and telecom majors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, along with international industry bodies including NGMN Alliance and GSMA. Leading academics from IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Cambridge, Chalmers University and the University of Glasgow will also participate.

Prof. David Koilpillai, Chairman, Bharat 6G Alliance said, “Hosting the International Bharat 6G Symposium alongside the India Mobile Congress reflects the scale and dynamism of India’s digital ecosystem. Our focus is on enabling collaboration between diverse stakeholders, from global tech leaders to Indian telecom pioneers. This year’s symposium underscores India’s ambitions to lead the 6G race through cutting-edge research, development and strategic partnerships anchored in the vision of a digitally inclusive and economically vibrant Viksit Bharat.”

The agenda spans nine sessions covering global 6G initiatives, enabling technologies, spectrum harmonisation, AI-native networks, and non-terrestrial connectivity. Two MoUs and four industry reports are expected to be unveiled.

The symposium will run alongside IMC 2025 (October 8-11), Asia’s largest digital technology forum organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). The event is expected to attract 1.5 lakh visitors from 150+ countries, 7,000 delegates, 400+ exhibitors and 800+ speakers.

The attendees will experience 1,500+ cutting-edge showcases, spanning next-generation connectivity, electronics manufacturing, AI-driven solutions, IoT, and more.
