Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Saturday reacted to the Centre’s invitation to lead an all-party delegation to key partner countries later this month to convey India's message of zero tolerance against terrorism.
“I am honoured by the invitation of the government of India to lead an all-party delegation to five key capitals, to present our nation’s point of view on recent events,” Tharoor posted on X.
The Congress MP also said that when national interest is involved, and his services are required, he will “not be found wanting".

A seven-member all-party delegation is set to visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council, later this month in the context of Operation Sindoor and India's continued fight against cross-border terrorism. The delegation will also include NCP-SCP leader Supriya Sule, BJP's Ravi Shankar Prasad, JDU's Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP's Baijayant Panda, DMK's Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde.
"The All-Party Delegations will project India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations. They would carry forth to the world the country's strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism," stated the release by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
The ministry's statement said distinguished diplomats will be part of each delegation.
In a post on X, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, "In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero-tolerance to terrorism."
Sharing the ministry's statement, he said, "A powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences."
India launched Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, including tourists, locals and a foreign national.
India has since then combated several attempted attacks from Pakistan after the neighbouring country retaliated to India hitting their terror infrastructure and in turn attempted to target several Indian cities.
Currently, both India and Pakistan are observing a mutual ceasefire understanding and no attacks have been attempted from either side, even though Pakistan had violated the ceasefire understanding hours after the ceasefire on May 10.
