A Delhi-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing in Bengaluru after one of its engines shut down mid-air due to a technical issue on January 5 (Sunday), sources told Moneycontrol. No injuries were reported in the incident.

"One of the engines of the flight (A320) shut down, which forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing. The flight landed under full emergency conditions. All passengers on board are safe," a source told Moneycontrol.

Air India was not immediately available for comment.
