Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is reportedly going to expel his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha as the party prepares to undergo major restructuring, as per reports.

News-18 reported that KCR will expel his daughter, who heads Telangana Jagruthi, in light of her recurring clashes with BRS leaders and her criticism of party organisation and senior members.
News-18 reported BRS members as saying that KCR has been following his daughter's comments and actions that can be considered detrimental to the party – like Lord Krishna allowed 100 transgressions of Shishupala before slaying him.

Sources have said that KCR puts party discipline above personal relationships, and Kavitha's expulsion could happen when BRS Working President KT Rama Rao returns from abroad.

How conflict began

Kavitha had written to KCR, leading to a rift, with allegations that she had explored party's merger with the BJP going against her.
She had also publicly criticised KTR’s leadership in media.
