Congress leader Pawan Khera on Monday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, accusing the ruling party of displaying “shocking immaturity and reckless abandon” at a time when the nation is united in grief and the borders are under heightened security tension.

In a strongly worded statement, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of "reckless governance" and "shocking immaturity" in handling national security.

"The BJP calls us anti-national whenever we ask tough questions, but the real betrayal is putting Pakistani lives before Indian lives and refusing to confront the truth," the Congress said, demanding accountability over what it called "grave diplomatic blunders" and "premature disclosures" that may have compromised national security.

“We, as a responsible opposition, have always stood firmly with our armed forces without any compromise,” Khera said. “But we cannot and will not remain silent when the government fails the very people it is sworn to protect.”

Raising a series of pointed questions, Congress asked why the government rushed to inform Pakistan about a recent military operation before alerting Indian civilians in sensitive border areas like Poonch. The party also questioned whether high-profile terrorists such as Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed benefited from this disclosure and managed to escape, potentially undermining Indian interests.
