Hyderabad-based NCC Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Bengaluru suburban rail station work for the Benniganahalli-Mathikere section, which is part of the 24-km Mallige Line.
Sources told Moneycontrol that NCC quoted the lowest bid at Rs 556 crore.
This section includes eight stations: Benniganahalli, Kasturi Nagar, Seva Nagar, Banaswadi, Nagawara, Kanaka Nagar, Hebbal, and Mathikere. The tender covers entry/exit structures, steel foot over bridges, roof structures, architectural finishes, plumbing, facades, and detailed design and engineering.

This section is part of the 24-km Mallige Line (Byappanahalli – Chikkabanavara) which includes elevated (7.7km) and at-grade (17 km). The corridor has 14 stations in total, including six elevated and eight at-grade.
The Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE), which is executing the suburban rail project, has divided Mallige Line station tenders into two packages: Benniganahalli–Mathikere and Yeshwantpur–Chikkabanavara. It is yet to open Yeshwantpur–Chikkabanavara station work tenders.
Meanwhile, a JV between Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd (RPPL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of nine stations (one elevated and eight at-grade) with a bid value of Rs 613 crore. The stations on the Kanaka Line (Heelalige – Rajanakunte) include Heelalige, Singena Agrahara, Huskur, Ambedkar Nagar, Carmelaram, Bellandur, Marathahalli, Doddanakundi, and Kaggadasapura. The scope of work covers civil and structural construction, entry/exit structures, steel foot over bridges, roof structures, pre-engineered building (PEB) works, architectural finishes, electrical and mechanical (E&M) works, and detailed design and engineering (DDC) along with all associated works.
