After Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday threatened that his party workers, particularly the women, would "come out on the streets in Maharashtra" to protest against the India-Pakistan match in Dubai, a Maharashtra Minister, in turn, took a jibe at Aaditya Thackeray.
"Aaditya Thackeray will watch the India-Pakistan match secretly, wearing a burqa," Rane said while speaking to PTI. He further mocked Aaditya's voice and said that no one would be able to guess it is him because he has a feminine voice. He said that Aaditya will chant "Pakistan Zindabad."
Uddhav Thackeray, earlier in the day, also took a jab at PM Modi by referring to Operation Sindoor and said the women workers will "send sindoor from every house to PM Modi."
"Our Prime Minister said blood and water cannot flow together, then how can blood and cricket flow together? How can war and cricket be at the same time?" questioned Thackeray while speaking to reporters in Mumbai on Saturday. He added, "They have done business in patriotism. The business of patriotism is only for money. They are going to play the match tomorrow also because they want all the money they will get from that match. Tomorrow, Shiv Sena (UBT) women workers will come out on the streets in Maharashtra and they are going to send sindoor from every house to PM Modi."
Tensions have been soaring between India and Pakistan since the Pahalgam terror attack in April, when 26 people lost their lives after terrorists opened fire at them after confirming their religious identities.
On the intervening night of May 6 and 7, India, in response to the terror attack, launched Operation Sindoor to eliminate the terror bases in Pakistan. Since then, several delegations from India have visited nations abroad to affirm India's stance against terrorism on a global front.
