Sunrisers Hyderabad can secure their place in the playoffs with a win over Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will look to seal their place in the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs when they clash with laggards Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 4.
Despite their defeat against Mumbai on May 2, Hyderabad's net run rate is +0.653, which is superior to others in contention for the playoffs.
Even if Hyderabad lose their last match, they can still reach playoffs if Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab don't win more than one of their last two matches.
In the absence of their batting mainstay David Warner, young Manish Pandey (71 off 47 balls) shouldered the responsibility pretty well in the last match against Mumbai as he pushed the match into the super over after he carted Hardik Pandya for a last-ball six to level the scores.
Mumbai Indians had scored 162 for five in the allotted 20 overs. Needing nine to win in the super over, Pandya and Kieron Pollard took the side home with three balls to spare. Hyderabad had managed 8 for 2 with Jasprit Bumrah bagging Pandey and Mohammed Nabi's wickets.
Captain Kane Williamson, all-rounder Vijay Shankar and comeback man Wriddhiman Saha will look to score in the key match.
Hyderabad bowlers have performed well in patches and need to get their act together against Bangalore's master blasters AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
The visitors boast of multi-pronged attack in which Afghanistan's Rashid Khan has been the standout performer.
Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed and experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar, along with the Afghan spin twins Rashid and Mohammed Nabi add sting to Hyderabad attack.
Bangalore will be playing for pride after their hopes of entering playoffs went up in smoke after their match against Rajasthan Royals was abandoned due to rain.

Head to head:
The two teams have faced each other 14 times in the past. RCB have struggled against SRH winning just five games compared to Hyderabad’s 8 victories with one game ending with no result.
When these two teams met earlier this season, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow both scored centuries to secure a thumping 118-run victory.
SRH will be continue to be without their impressive duo of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. However, Williamson could bring back Yusuf Pathan or Deepak Hooda in place of youngster Abhishek Sharma.
RCB will most likely replace Marcus Stoinis with Colin de Grandhomme. Shimron Hetmyer could also come into the squad in place of Heinrich Klaasen.
Prediction: who will win?
RCB have a strong batting line-up but SRH’s bowling attack has the firepower to keep them in check. With SRH still hungry to secure qualification to the playoffs they will be expected to put in a big performance and come away with 2 points.
Betting odds (Bet365):

Pitch report: The pitch at Bengaluru is a batsman’s paradise but it is also known to provide some turn occasionally. The smaller boundaries help batsmen score easily and we could expect a high scoring encounter.
Moneycontrol Dream XI: Virat Kohli (C), Parthiv Patel (WK), AB de Villiers, Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Mohammed Nabi, Rashid Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed.
Players to watch out for:
Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB)
The spinner has been RCB's most potent wicket-taking option with 17 wickets from 13 games and an economy rate of just 7.98. He could prove to be a thorn in Sunrisers' side with his subtle variations.
Manish Pandey (SRH)
The SRH man is probably the most in-form player in the IPL at the moment and has scores of 71*, 36, 61 and 83* in his last four games. He even managed to hit a six off the last ball against Mumbai to push the game into a Super Over.
Sunrisers could secure their place in the playoffs with a win. They currently occupy fourth spot with 12 points while RCB sit at the bottom of the pile with just 9 points. Check out the updated points table here.(With inputs from PTI)The Great Diwali Discount!
