Imposition of Section 144 CrPC extended in Kupwara for 60 days

Srinagar, Mar 27 (PTI) Authorities in north Kashmir's Kupwara district have extended an order banning assembly of more than four persons for another two months, an official spokesman said today. District Magistrate Kupwara Mohammad Shafi Rather has imposed section 144 CrPC in the district and the order shall remain in force for a period of sixty days, the spokesman said. No reason has been assigned for imposing the orders. Section 144 CrPC has been in force in the border district since the eruption of militancy in early 1990.
