Share price of Tata Motors touched 52-week low of Rs 160.75, down 1 percent intraday Friday after Jaguar Land Rover reported weak sales numbers for the month November 2018.
Jaguar Land Rover sales were at 48,160 vehicles in November 2018, down 8 percent.
Meanwhile, Jaguar sales were up 8.9 percent at 14,909, while Land Rover sales were down 14 percent at 33,251.
Retail sales were up significantly in North America (18.1 percent) due to strong sales of Range Rover models in Jaguar Land Rover’s best ever November sales results in the market. Sales were also 5.6 percent higher in Europe and up 3.2% in the UK, company said in release.
Sales in China were 50.7 percent lower than a year ago as market conditions remain difficult with continuing consumer uncertainty following tariff changes and trade concerns, it added.
