Government says

-13 stranded gas-based plants with installed capacity of 8262.08 MW won gas supply
-Plants to generate 11.03 bn units of electricity with 13.5 mmscmd gas
-Power will be supplied at or below Rs 4.70 per unit to discoms
-Supply from gas e-auction will be for October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016
-Will support subsidy of Rs 1,590.09 crore from power system development fund
-Generation from these gas plants to improve power availability in southern grid
-2nd phase has offered increased gas to more number of plants at a higher plant load factor (PLF)


Government may increase import duty on edible oil in a week: Sources
