Stay invested in HDFC, says Shahina Mukadam

Shahina Mukadam, Independent Market Expert told CNBC-TV18, "I would suggest one continues holding onto HDFC. It is one of a very stable type of performer. Very good type of business segment, both housing finance as well as insurance. I am positive on both. Whatever be the status in terms of the lifting of the insurance business, whether they go ahead with Max or they do it on their own, I think it is a win-win positive for the current investors."

"I think in terms of valuation also it is very well in-line with other listed players as of now after ICICI Prudential has shot up a lot. It offers you a gamut of businesses in the financial sector across insurance and even some what of banking in terms of potential of merger with HDFC Bank in the very long term future as well as housing finance which is its core business which is expected to do very well," she added.
