Positive on cement space including UltraTech Cement: Dipan Mehta

Dipan Mehta - Member at BSE & NSE told CNBC-TV18, "Cement has been a great industry, I would say a turnaround industry as far as the March quarter numbers were concerned. Because of the pricing discipline and how difficult it is now to set up cement plants which means that capacity addition also is going to slow down going forward because of backward integration into limestone mining. So, there are certain concerns as far as additions of fresh capacity and that should benefit existing players.""So, per se quite positive on cement companies and UltraTech Cement certainly there is a merger and acquisition (M&A) story also as far as UltraTech Cement is concerned. So that could also drive growth for the next two-three years or so. So, quite positive on UltraTech Cement and then some of the other midcap cement companies also like Shree Cement, Dalmia Bharat which came out with good numbers and those could also be favoured by investors," he said.
