Neeraj Deewan of Quantum Securities is of the view that one may look at Cholamandalam Investment and ICICI Bank.
Neeraj Deewan of Quantum Securities told CNBC-TV18, "I am more focusing on financials specifically NBFCs where there are some NBFCs which are focused on commercial vehicle lending, SME lending – I think those are the NBFCs which can do well going ahead. Capital goods and infrastructure is one more sector where you need to focus on. So, it is more stock specific but capital goods, infrastructure, financials would be the picks which we are focusing on."
"Private sector banks like ICICI Bank also which has been consolidating and seeing some correction happening, that is one which has a good view now after the correction. In NBFCs we have coverage on Cholamandalam Investment where they have 70 percent towards
commercial vehicles and similar lending. So, there is a disclaimer that we will be holding and recommending that to our clients also," he said.
"These are the kind of stocks and there will be capital goods stocks where nothing has happened as far as their earnings is concerned but they have huge potential going ahead whether they are stocks like Kalpataru Power and Tractors India which are into capital goods. Going ahead, if there is focus on roads, development and infrastructure then these are the kind of stocks which will come back into limelight. So, we are trying to position ourselves and recommending to clients also."
