KEC International rises 3% on orders win worth Rs 1,378 crore

It railway business received four orders for composite and overhead electrification works aggregating to Rs 473 crore across India.

Share price of KEC International rose 3.4 percent intraday Thursday as the company has bagged an orders worth Rs 1,378 crore across its businesses.

The company's T&D business secured orders of Rs 786 crore across India, Middle East and SAARC.

It railway business received four orders for composite and overhead electrification works aggregating to Rs 473 crore across India.

The cable segment of the company received orders of Rs 78 crore for various types of cables and civil business secured an order of Rs 41 crore for the construction of factory and related civil works in Andhra Pradesh.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International said, “We are pleased with the new order wins, especially in our core T&D business. With these new order wins we have further strengthened our domestic and SAARC T&D portfolio."

"With the third order win in Jordan we have further diversified our exposure in the Middle East market," he added.

At 09:38 hrs KEC International was quoting at Rs 415.15, up Rs 10.10, or 2.49 percent on the BSE.
