Shares of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) rallied 6 percent intraday Monday on order for constructing first phase of integrated nuclear recycle plant of BARC.


This project (worth Rs 942.58 crore) is part of first phase of new INRP being built to process spent fuel from upcoming nuclear power plants including Haryana, RAPP 7&8, Kakrapara and future PHWRs, said the Mumbai-based construction company in its filing.

The scope of work includes construction of fuel processing plant, lab buildings, disposable material block along with in situ fabricated stainless steel tanks & liners and electromechanical works.


The project will be completed in 36 months, it said.


At 11:45 hours IST, the scrip of Hindustan Construction Company was quoting at Rs 23.25, up Rs 0.80, or 3.56 percent on the BSE.
