Buy HDFC, Century Textiles; sell REC, Cipla: Sudarshan Sukhani

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "HDFC is making a bullish head-and-shoulder. It is not a day trade. You want to buy and hold it. The stock has not broken out. Yesterday was a mildly weak day, but we should not worry about weak days. That is part of the process. So, HDFC is something you want to hold on to. Buy and then keep with you for some time.""Century Textiles comes on my charts sometimes. There is a very nice relentless advance. That advance has paused for four days. The same theory, if there is a pause, then the original trend which is up should reassert itself and midcaps usually give us much higher beta when they start moving up. So, it could be an attractive opportunity," he said. "Rural Electrification Corporation and Cipla are very disappointing. REC has been a big disappointment because NBFCs, I thought would do well, but REC and Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has completely collapsed. Cipla has done nothing. Pharmaceuticals is in a downtrend, that is okay, but Cipla is underperforming pharmaceuticals as well. It is in a trading range and breaking down from that trading range. The same is what REC is doing. So, weak stocks in this fairly decent market are worth selling into.""Britannia Industries was a short sell yesterday morning, so I am also downbeat specifically on Britannia. There are stocks in the FMCG sector which are attractive starting with Hindustan Unilever and Marico. Both are worth buying into and Dabur India which is building a base and coming out of it. So, the three large names are all buying ideas which is why the sector which is primarily propelled by the large names looks attractive."
