Banking will lead next rally: Anand Rathi Financial

Banking space will lead next rally, says Amit Rathi, Anand Rathi Financial Services.

Rathi told CNBC-TV18, "I think banking clearly has to be the first candidate which could lead this rally up in the next rally and the big driver there would be the direction in which interest rates and investment spending cycles start to hit the ground, so banking is clearly a sector that for leadership in the next round."
He further added, "Reliance again underperformed for quite a bit and I think over the next 2 quarters a lot more clarity should emerge on the gas field output issues because the core petro chemicals business is still doing very strongly. I think once there is clarity on the gas side, which should happen over the next 2 quarters Reliance could again come back."
