Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "I am not very sure whether public sector undertaking (PSU) banks will perform as the Bank Nifty is suggesting that some lows are in place. If PSU banks are likely to remain weak today as my sense is, then Syndicate Bank remains a short sell rather than sell at the open. We want to wait patiently and look for a small rally. We should sell into that rally, so that we get higher prices for short sell."

"The trade here is to remain on the short side. This is a choppy market, there is no guarantee that it will not crack down. We just assume that some good stocks will do well and the weaker ones should be sold into," Sukhani said.
