Arrivals of Chilli crop remains unchanged at ~35,000 bags at Guntur market while spot rates too were steady in the range of Rs 6,600-Rs 7,000 per quintal based on crop quality, as per market reports.


Arrivals of jeera crop increased to about 4,000 bags while trades too were up at ~8,000 bags at auction held at Unjha market. Spot rates for exchange quality crop was up by Rs 180-Rs 200 per quintal, as per local traders.


Spot rates of pepper garbled increased to Rs 355 per kg and that of un-garbled was up at Rs 340 per kg. Arrivals increased to 21 tons and trades too were up at 125 tons at Kochi market, as per IPSTA.


Turmeric arrivals: increased about 1,000 bags at Nizamabad market and about 9,500-10,000 bags at mandis of Erode. Spot rates declined to Rs 4,500-Rs 4,900 per quintal, based on crop quality & location, as per local traders.


Cardamom auctions at Kerala one of the major trading centers, has stopped for about one & a half week, as transportation has become difficult, due to ongoing agitation between Kerala & Tamil Nadu.


Arrivals of soya bean crop stood steady around 4-4.5lakh bags, with about 2lakh bags reported at MP market & rest across mandis of Maharashtra,
Rajasthan & other trading centers, as per local traders.


Spot rates offered by planter were up at Rs 23.5 per kg while rates offered by farmers to sell their produce were up at Rs 22.5 per kg.
