Preventive checkups: Healthi raises $3.1mn from investors led by Montane Ventures
The company provides diagnostic checkups for diabetes prevention, heart disease, obesity, anemia and other diseases.

Preventive health checkups startup Healthi has raised USD 3.1 million led by Montane Ventures.
Started in 2013 in Chennai by Stanford alumnus Krishna Ulagaratchagan and Insead alum Rekuram Varadharaj, Healthi provides an online booking service for health checkup plans at affordable rates.
The company provides health checkups for diabetes Prevention, Heart Disease, obesity, anemia and others. It has tied up with healthcare chains such as Apollo Clinics, SRL Labs, Express Clinics and Medall Healthcare.
"The feedback and increasing traction that we have seen to date reinforces our vision that a strong focus on user experience and the right combination of technology and analytics can effectively help users to lead healthy lives. The funds will be used to boot up applications, to accelerate our product development efforts by growing our product and technology, " said Rekuram Varadharaj and Krishna Ulagaratchagan, founders of Healthi.
The company aims to roll out international pilots to this end in the next 12 to 18 months.
