Interglobe Aviation, the operator of IndiGo Airline, informed on July 8 that Rohini Bhatia has resigned from the Board of Directors of the Company, with effect from July 11, 2022.
In an exchange filing, the company said, "In compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI LODR Regulations, we hereby inform you that Ms. Rohini Bhatia, a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director has tendered her resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company due to other engagements, with effect from July 11, 2022."
Rohini Bhatia is the Chairperson of the CSR committee of the Company. She is also the Chairperson of InterGlobe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of InterGlobe Group.
Under Bhatia’s guidance, IndiGo’s CSR has gained both in-depth outreach and is doing exemplary work in the fields of education, heritage restoration, environment protection, and women’s empowerment. She is especially passionate about heritage restoration and waste management and has led this work from the front. The restoration of Rahim’s tomb in New Delhi is one of the finest examples of her interest in this cause, the company said.
Bhatia has a diploma in Textile designing and serves as a Director on the boards of several InterGlobe Group companies.
