The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will start e-auction of its luxury and premium apartments, including penthouses, located in different sectors of Dwarka suburb of the national capital, from September 24, 2024 under its Special Housing Scheme 2024.
According to officials, the prices of these premium and luxury flats start from Rs 1.28 crore and go beyond Rs 5 crore.
They said that the auction will be held separately for each category of flats, such as Super HIG, HIG (high income group), MIG (mid income group), and Penthouses. Under the scheme, around 173 premium and luxury apartments have been put on sale by the DDA and the registrations for the scheme have also started from August 21.
“The last date to register for the scheme to participate in the bidding process for premium and luxury apartments is September 16. The e-auction will begin from September 24 and will continue till September 26, 2024. The time slots for the e-auction against each category of flats will be announced separately soon,” a senior DDA official told Moneycontrol.
He said that a live demo session of the e-auction will be held on September 21, 22 and 23 to familiarise prospective bidders with the e-auction process.
Here are key things to know about the e-auction:
Location and number of flats
According to officials, out of 173 apartments that have been put on offer for e-auction, 147 are premium 2BHK MIG flats, 21 are 3BHK HIG flats, four are Super HIG luxury apartments (4BHK) and one is a penthouse. MIG flats are located in Dwarka sector 16B pocket 2, sector 19B pocket 3 and Dwarka sector 14. Super HIG, HIG and penthouse are located in Dwarka sector 19B, overlooking a golf course.
Reserve price
The reserve prices for the penthouse is kept at Rs 5.19 crore while for Super HIG luxury apartments it is Rs 2.59 crore. The reserve price for 3BHK HIG units is kept between Rs 2.1 crore and Rs 2.28 crore depending on the size of the flat. The reserve price of MIG 2BHKs units will start from Rs 1.28 crore.

The registration process
Officials said that the participants will have to first register on the e-auction portal, eservices.dda.org.in, and pay Rs 2,500, which is non-adjustable and non-refundable, separately against each flat they wish to bid for.
For appearing in the bidding process, applicants will have to deposit a booking amount or EMD (earnest money deposit) amount. The booking amount is Rs 15 lakh for HIG, Rs 20 lakh for Super HIG apartments and Rs 25 lakh for penthouses, while it is Rs 10 lakh for MIG flats.

Sample flat visit
The applicants can visit the site and inspect the flats and satisfy themselves with regard to location, size and price of flats before applying under this scheme. Sample flats are located in Dwarka sectors 14, 16B and 19B and will be available for inspection to the public on all seven days from 10 am to 6 pm. A representative of DDA will also be available on-site during these hours to facilitate inspection.
