Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the permanent campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool during his significant visit to Jammu on February 20.
The PM also inaugurated academic and residential complexes in IIT Patna, IIT Ropar, and IIT Jammu; two permanent campuses of Central Sanskrit University, at Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura.
During his visit, PM Modi was felicitated by Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha ahead of the historic launch of developmental projects worth Rs 30,500 crore. The Prime Minister is in Jammu on a one-day visit.
PM Modi also inaugurated permanent campuses of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam, IIM Jammu, and IIM Bodh Gaya. He also inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), a pioneer skill training institute on advanced technologies in Kanpur.
The PM also inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu. The institute, whose foundation stone was laid by him in February 2019, is being established under the central government scheme 'Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana'.
Prime Minister also inaugurated and dedicated to nation-improved infrastructure like hostels, academic blocs, administrative buildings, libraries, auditoriums, etc in multiple higher educational institutes across the country like IIT Jammu, NIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, NIT Durgapur, IISER Behrampur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, IIIT Lucknow, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, Central University of Kerala Kasaragod, among others.
